FAQs
What is the process of Getting lash extensions?
The process starts with a full set of the lash type of your choice. Your full set appointment requires you to come with no lashes on, no eye makeup on, and clean eyes. It can be anywhere from 1 hour- 2.5 hours depending on your choice of style. You then have the option to have your lashes filled on a regular basis. At ACLA we recommend 2 week fills to start, with the option to move to 3 week fills depending on your retention of the lashes. Fills are 1 hour-1 hour and 15 minutes.
What is the cost of lashes?
All of our pricing is available to see on our online booking page. For more details feel free to contact us.
What is the after-care following my appointment?
You will be required to keep your lashes dry for 12-24 hours following your appointment. It is required to keep oil based products away from lash extensions (no mascara, eyeliner, heavy skincare on the eyes). You will also be advised to keep your lashes clean through daily cleansing- lash cleanser is available at the studio for purchase. Lastly, it is important to be gentle on your lash extensions and to not cause any extra friction or picking or pulling of the lashes.
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
No, when done correctly, lash extensions will not damage your natural lashes. When the weight and length of the extension chosen is suitable for that of your natural lashes, the natural lashes are supported to continue their natural growth cycle as usual. However, lash extensions can be damaging when they are too heavy or too long and improperly chosen for the natural lash. Signs your lashes may be causing damage are: a consistent pulling/itching feeling, the lashes feel heavy on your eyes, the lashes droop below your lash line, or there is visible glue or clumped lashes. At ACLA we make the health of your natural lashes a main priority- the healthier your natural lashes are the better your extensions will look!
